My Compaq speakers do not get any wudio at all, they do not have any buttons on them by the way. I hear sound but I’ve notice that the sound level maxes out at the middle mark of the volume control.
This fixed that issue and my system has been running great. A nice big display to show the power of your rig. But I already figured on that. Add one Option Ras Active Time 5. Shouldn’t it be deafening if the volume control is set to the auvio Plugged in the speakers and got no sound.

From what I have read SiS will be writing the drivers for the sound. Just remember to look for those SiS options when compiling your kernel!
But your speakers will need to be powered. That worked out better. If they are a cheap low-powered set, are you sure they can go beyond the level of sound that you’re getting?
Petersburg, FL Posts 2, I had some problems with the sound of mine, too. I am extremely pleased with this motherboard. The time now is Is this what it suppose to be? After a little bit of research and some trial and error I was able to get it running. Sounds like your speakers are not powered by an adapter.
