Yepper – you basically are comparing boards that accept similar ram BUT you aren’t comparing the ram. Slide that card in and out of the AGP slot a few times. You’ll need to disable the onboard video in there first.

The slots contacts could be dirty and oxidised id unused for some time. Do you already have an account? Last edited by lonewolfroger; at Try moving ram from slot1 to slots 2 and 3 PSU too small to boot it maybe? I tried all of the things you suggested and was able to make it work, might have just been an improperly seated card as I took it out a few times and finally got Windows up and going.

Lay out the specs for the ram like that with the latency numbers, etc. Sometimes there’s actually a jumper on the mainboard that has to be utilized to allow the bios to “see” the new card and disable the onboard video.
To BigMan23, there should be a page in your bios called Integrated Peripherals or something close to that at least that’s what they call it on my epox motherboard.
